Facility Managers
Vernotec Inspection has developed a comprehensive inspection program for facility managers and building owners. The basis of this program is a completely non-invasive, ultrasonic inspection technique that provides a quick and accurate measurement of internal pipe corrosion and MIC.
Real Estate Investor
Inspecting fire sprinkler systems for the presence of MIC or Corrosion allows the real estate investor to accurately determine the condition of the entire system. He or she can then schedule localized replacement and significantly reduce the risk and costs associated with corrective maintenance.
Property Insurers
The risk of MIC or Corrosion in fire sprinkler piping can be broken into two general categories: (1) loss of life or property damage caused by fire that spreads due to an operational failure; and (2) significant property damage caused by a leak from corrosive pitting.
Service Information and Methodology
Vernotec's team of technicians accurately identify and locate any MIC or corrosion in your fire sprinkler system using a guided wave ultrasonic system. Vernotec's methods provide a quantitative measurement of corrosion severity and meet NFPA 25 requirements for MIC and corrosion inspection. Results are compiled into a comprehensive report for each building. Vernotec provides an accurate, cost-effective means of determining the condition of your fire sprinkler system that reduces the risk of leaks and loss of sprinkler operation.
The methodology that we employ is a detailed accurate measurement every twenty feet of pipe. If the results of these scans show significant signs of wall loss or corrosion, then additional scans are taken to localize the problem.
